How atmosHealthTech Inc. protects individual privacy and health information.
1. Commitment to Privacy
At atmosHealthTech Inc., we pioneer ambient clinical intelligence technology designed to assist healthcare providers while holding patient confidentiality and data privacy as foundational tenets of our architecture. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, use, store, and protect personal and health-related information.
2. Ambient Clinical Intelligence Privacy Principles
Our ambient clinical intelligence systems are engineered specifically for clinical environments with strict data minimization principles:
- Consent & Transparency: Clinical documentation workflows operate under explicit clinician control and patient consent protocols.
- Data Minimization: Audio streams processed during clinical notes generation are transcribed in secure, ephemeral memory buffers and processed without persistent retention of raw ambient audio unless explicitly configured under approved pilot protocols.
- Zero Unauthorized Exploitation: Patient health information (PHI) is never sold, leased, or monetized for advertising or unapproved commercial models.
3. Compliance Frameworks (PHIPA & PIPEDA)
atmosHealthTech Inc. adheres to Canadian federal and provincial privacy legislation:
- PHIPA: Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal health information by health information custodians.
- PIPEDA: Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act regulating commercial data handling.
